Why do you need to do all out for your dream and take the risk along?

I guess everybody fears that they cannot live the life they aspire to live in. Many people have lived in other people’s dream. Guess what!? That is fine. However, if you are willing to get your dream come true, it is not as easy as flipping your hands. This decision needs tears, sacrifice, and perseverance. When all these swear “squeezing” elements are in place, you just need a good luck. The luck happens with the mainstream formula, that is preparation plus opportunity, though sometimes the universe’s factor still takes in control.

So you know that even living in your dream does not always promise you shiny and happy days. It still somehow gives the ups and the downs. This tests your motivation. Are you really wanting it? Or you just play safe. Leave your dream behind, and make a foolish wish that things will happen without your actions.

The book from the 9 habits of effective people gives us the idea that we do need the trick to get our dream come true. Sometimes you do not need to push harder to get to your goal. I like the concept of “sharpening your jigsaw before you cut the tree”. Cutting the tree is your dream or goal, jigsaw is your current capability to achieve the dream. I know sometime we do not evaluate our capability first before we can truly embark on our dream. My case is complex. I want to pursue my study abroad. However, I forget that my academic writing is a mess. First, I admit the shortcoming. The second, I apply the concept above. I keep honing my writing skill every now and then. I contemplate and pour out my ideas in a piece of paper. I know it does not come all of sudden. Even if I have tried to improve it, I always think that it does not reach anywhere. After publishing my first single-author article, I now keep applying for graduate school scholarships. I fail. I cry. I am stressful. But I now I have to do all out and stay focus on what I really want.
